Note: Older versions of GeneMapper® Software contained an Archive function that would back up the entire database at once.
It is useful to back up data in order to protect yourself from data loss, clearing out the Oracle® database to keep it from filling up, and/or for sending data to Technical Support for troubleshooting. When the installation is complete, reboot the computer.
For Mozilla Firefox® and Google Chrome® browsers, the default location to save the file is the Downloads folder.ģ. For the Internet Explorer® browser, you can choose the location to save the file. Note: If your browser gives you the choice to Run or Save, save the file.

You should now be able to install the GeneMapper® Software 5 Demo. For Mozilla Firefox® and Google Chrome® browsers, the default location to save the file is the Downloads folder. If your computer has Windows® 7 Professional, 64-bit edition, choose the third option (“Windows 64-bit XP, Vista, 7, 8”). Windows 7 already has issues with ASIO in general, let alone an ASIO driver dedicated to the MBOX.If you received the error message about insufficient user privileges to start low level driver, you are most likely not logged in locally as the Administrator. I am at a complete loss as to what to do. I created a new track with input as Mbox2 In 1, armed track-no input signal. I could hear sound coming through my headphones, so I knew that something was at least finally working. Reaper recognizes the MBox ASIO driverĪnd had I/O options! Selected the inputs and outputs, and tapped on the microphone I had plugged in. Uninstalled all of the MBox drivers, reinstalled original MBox driver and opened Reaper (both as administrator, right away, this time). Had problems after the reset, so I did a system restore to right before that last driver had been installed. After installing family driver and running Reaper, my computer went to the blue error screen of death, and then reset itself. Ran Reaper as administrator-new error, essentially saying "Updated TPkd Driver required, and a reboot." Researched TPkd driver, someone on a forum suggested downloading the MBox family driver. checked some forums for advice, deleted driver, re-installed with "run as administrator" option, and got same error in Reaper. When selecting the MBox, I got the following error: user privileges insufficient to start a low level driver. Under Audio->Device in preferences, Reaper showed "ASIO Digidesign driver MBox 2," but no options in drop down boxes for I/O. Went to Avid's site and downloaded driver 8.0.4b and installed. Windows could not automatically install drivers. To avoid wordiness, I will just give a breakdown of my recording setup/problems I've encountered. If the answer to my issue has been resolved elsewhere, please provide a link to said thread.
First and foremost, I want to apologize if this issue has already been fully addressed and answered in another thread.
